USGS will likely hire 12 individuals to do this work. Most of them will be summer employees, but for those who graduated in December 09, they could start sooner. Resumes

NSCSS asks employers and recruiters what we can do to help them connect with our job seeking members in the market for employment. They never fail to suggest the same thing: post resumes of available members on our website. Members can use a resume posting service, such as Resume Bucket, or Resume Posse, and send us the link to post.

Private Soil Science Job Listings Reach New High

After rising steadily until May, 2009, private sector job opportunities for soil scientists drifted lower until the end of August, but not really that low. Since August soil science job listings have increased strongly, reaching a new high of 34 on October 27, 2009. Previously weak, the agricultural sector is gaining strength. Environmental sector listings are now as strong as anything we have seen in the past.

Clover One World technology puts people back to work

Unemployment at record levels and project cancellations have exposed outdated technology used to manage labor costs. Clover One World addresses the lag between current and 2004-2008 economics. An e-commerce platform similar to Amazon or Orbitz, hiring managers using Clover One World can “save” individual candidates or an entire project team. They can identify the start date, length of project, work hours and location of a project and will provide an instant quote, just like making an airline reservation. Candidate pay rates are “marked to market,” reflecting supply and demand on a continuous basis.

Skilled professionals benefit from client-indexed search criteria providing an exact match for a project. Clover One World eliminates the outdated and time-intensive keyword resume-search process that frustrates job seekers and employers equally.
